Education & Training :

Lions NAB Eye Hospital runs a continuous medical education program and also microsurgery training and workshops for the ophthalmologists. The IOL Training programme of Lions NAB Eye Hospital,Miraj is recognized by Govt. of India for training of Ophthalmologists. The hospital also has postgraduate degree and diploma courses in ophthalmology.
There is a training of Para clinical workers as well. There is a ophthalmic nursing course and also ophthalmic assistants course of two years duration.

P.G. Degree, D.N.B. : 

The D.N.B. registration will be given in the month of Jan. Please communicate again in month of Dec 2004 for the same. The tenure is of 2 years for D.O.M.S. candidate & 3 years for D.N.B. Pri. Pass Candidate.

P.G. Diploma C.P.S. Mum. :

Post Graduate Diploma Course CPS of 18 months duration. 2 registrations in an year in Jan. & June.

I.O.L. Training Programme  :

IOL Training consisting of a duration of 2 months where you get working experience, Various microsurgery techniques, step by step guidance & independent IOL surgeries. Fees Rs.25,000/- inclusive of boarding charges.

Phaco Training Programme  :

Phaco Training Consisting of a duration of 17 days. Including working experience of phaco machine, phaco surgeries as assistant & independent phaco surgeries.
Fees Rs.30,000/- inclusive of boarding charges.

Ophthalmic Nursing Course  :

There is a ophthalmic nursing course and also ophthalmic assistants course of two years duration. Fellowship for 2 year duration working experiences in primary techniques like - Biometry, Keratometer, Gonioscopy, SLE, indirect ophthaloscopy and during the tenure you will get an stipend, including boarding. After the completion of fellowship you have the option of joining Lions NAB Eye Hospital, Miraj as a junior consultant. Handling of hitech machines like Humphrey's field analyzer, Phaco etc.
